Support Beth Shir Shalom

There are many ways to support Beth Shir Shalom.

To keep our temple, Early Childhood Center, and religious school running and viable, we need your help, in the form of donations of time or money, in any amount.

Membership dues and tuition for the ECC and Religious School account for most of the operating expenses of Beth Shir Shalom, but they are not enough by themselves. In order to keep our doors open and continue to provide a wide range of spiritual, intellectual, and communal programs we rely on the generosity of our community. You can support our fundraising efforts and have fun while doing it by attending our Annual Fundraiser; and joining our special events including speakers, Movies That Matter, themed dinners, concerts, and other events throughout the year.

We also have various funds set up for your contributions, which enable the Temple to provide scholarships for our Religious School students, improvements to our physical plant, support for our musical endeavors, training for our ECC staff, social action, Shabbat flowers and onegs, and discretionary funds for our Rabbi and Cantor.  Please visit our donation page to make your contribution online.

We are a small but very active congregation, thanks to our volunteers. This team of generous givers helps with office administration and organizes many of our special events such as the Chanukah Gift Fair and Latke dinner, the Annual Fundraiser, the Purim Carnival, the High Holy Days at Barnum Hall, our Jewish Book Fair, and so much more. They support Social Justice and work with the Rabbi on social action projects in the greater community. They provide brunch for the AIDS clinic at County USC and Sunday Dinners for Turning Point Transition Housing in Santa Monica, among many other activities. If you’ve got time to do something for your synagogue and yourself, we welcome all volunteers. For more information, please contact us.
