Dear Friends and Families of Beth Shir Shalom,

The Days of Awe will soon be upon us— our first in-person High Holy Days Services since before the pandemic! When Rosh Hashanah begins on the evening of Sunday, September 25th, Rabbi Alex Kress will kick-off a new tradition by leading our Mindful and Musical High Holy Days services from the beautifully renovated John Adams Middle School Performing Arts Center in Santa Monica. Joining Rabbi Alex will be Cantorial Soloist Jessica Jacobs, Rabbi Emeritus Neil Comess-Daniels and our musicians. It will be Awesome.

The Ticket Request Form must be completed and returned to the temple office before we send you your tickets. Remember, your family’s BSS membership already includes tickets for each adult and for each child aged 6 to 22.

Temple members may purchase additional tickets at the special member guest rate of $165. Non-members may purchase tickets for $195 per person (each ticket includes all services). If you are not a member yet and would like to join, the cost of your tickets will be applied toward your membership pledge when you join! And please remember to note on the form the names and contact information of anyone you’re bringing.

It takes months of planning and preparation to create such inspiring High Holy Days events.  Show your appreciation for that hard work and for the simple joy of experiencing the Awe together, by sponsoring our events. Your contributions will help defray the considerable cost of the rental, equipment and outside expertise required to prepare and transmit these services, and would be greatly appreciated.

We look forward to sharing these Musical, Mindful and Joyous Days of Awe with you.

L’Shanah Tovah,
