  • Absolutely! Beth Shir Shalom warmly welcomes interfaith families. Whether you're Jewish and your partner isn't, or you're exploring Judaism together, you'll find a come-as-you-are community where all are embraced.

  • Absolutely! Beth Shir Shalom creates space for all types of Jews. Our community has religious experiences for those seeking a more traditional model of Jewish community as well as programming, learning and celebrations for those seeking something more cultural.

  • Yes! We are a Reform congregation affiliated with the URJ.

  • We have an amazing, intimate BMitzvah program that adapts to each child. Students must be enrolled in their grade level for a minimum of 2.5 years before becoming BMitzvah, which includes weekly Hebrew learning. As their date approaches, they begin work with a tutor 1-on-1 for eight months leading up to their ceremony. A few months before their ceremony, they begin meeting with Rabbi Alex 1-on-1 to write their D’var Torah & prepare iyyunim (intros to prayers). Our BMitzvah ceremonies are warm, joyful celebrations of our amazing kids!
