ARZA, the Association of Reform Zionists of America, connects our Reform Jewish community to Israel and strengthens the Reform Movement within Israel. Through advocacy, education, and engagement, ARZA works toward an Israel rooted in the values we hold dear: equality, democracy, religious pluralism, and a vibrant Jewish future.

The Israel Religious Action Center (IRAC) is the public and legal advocacy arm of the Reform Movement in Israel, working to build an Israel that reflects our deepest Reform Jewish values: democracy, equality, religious freedom, and dignity for all. Through legal advocacy and public action, IRAC fights for religious pluralism, equal recognition of Reform Judaism, and the civil and human rights of all who call Israel home.

Our relationship with Israel is also about relationships with Israelis. Kehillat Kodesh v’Chol, our sister congregation in Holon, is a vibrant Reform community led by our friend Rabbi Galit Cohen-Kedem. By supporting Kodesh v’Chol, we strengthen liberal and egalitarian Judaism in Israel while deepening the bonds between our Beth Shir Shalom community and theirs.

One of Rabbi Alex’s favorite podcasts, Israel Story tells extraordinary stories about ordinary Israelis. Often called the Israeli “This American Life,” it introduces us to the quirky, complicated, surprising, and deeply human stories of a place we may think we already know. It is one of our favorite ways to encounter Israel through the lives and voices of the people who call it home.

IsraAID brings Israeli expertise and a spirit of responsibility to communities facing crisis around the world. Working alongside local partners, IsraAID responds to war, natural disasters, displacement, and other emergencies with immediate humanitarian assistance and long-term support. Their work is a powerful expression of the Jewish imperative to care for one another far beyond our own community.

Loving Israel means investing in the kind of society we hope Israel will become. The New Israel Fund supports Israelis working to strengthen democracy, advance equality, protect civil and human rights, and build a more just and inclusive society. NIF reflects our belief that a deep commitment to Israel includes helping it live up to its highest democratic and Jewish ideals.
